Does Heber-Overgaard have a local Fire and Police Departments?

Yes! Heber-Overgaard is home to the Heber-Overgaard Fire District which employees Firefighter, EMT and transport services for our community. Heber-Overgaard also contracts with the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office for our local police and law enforcement needs.

Where are the closest big box stores?

The closest big box store are located in both the Snowflake/Taylor area and the City of Show Low. Each is only a 25-35 minute drive away.

Who do I ask about permits for additions or home improvements?

Since Heber-Overgaard is un-incorporated, you will need to obtain permitting through the Navajo County Complex office for land permitting needs.

What is there to do in Heber-Overgaard?

What does it mean that Heber-Overgaard is un-incorporated?

Being un-incorporated means that we are neither a city nor a town and therefore do not have a local '“council” as a governing board. We instead abide by county laws and are not eligible for governmental funding as other cities and towns are.
